There’s A Line

There’s a line
Thin and long
Like a border
Drawn so fine

From the corners of the globe
To the centre of the earth
Where hands are tied
And people bound in hope

From hells fires to heavens gates
it’s a tale we all know
The line it stands firm
The line – it just waits

Cast a shadow, tell a lie
Live in fear, live in hope
Shed a tear of regret
As the line it draws nye

As we travel through this life
The line can be drawn and stretched
But always and without question,
Remains as sharp as a knife

Through lives gains and loves lost
through trials and tribulations
United we know
The line – it cannot be crossed

Cross the line and you enter
a world that is dark
Cross the line to all that’s evil
Where the line leaves it’s mark

The line now much broader
Makes it easy to cross
Losing sight of your morals
And blind to your loss

Wrapped around your finger
The line is your friend
Marking a new found border
It stays till the end
