As Darkness Falls

As darkness falls
Light fading fast
Shadows grow
Moon overcast

The city sleeps
But not for all
As from the woodwork
Beasts do crawl

To search on prey
And on the weak
The beast awaits
Pouncing on the meek

As shadows grow
And the moon shines bright
A stranger struggles
Against the might

Beware the shadows
As the city sleeps
As in the night
The beast does creep

  2. I LOVE this one. It reminds me of a werewolf or something. It’s brilliant, scary and eery and makes shivers run down your spine. Very spooky. Excellent.

Keeping the wolves from the door and locking away our worst fears are the only way to retaining sanity. Here i have visions of Michael Jackson’s epic song and video “thriller” with creatures closing in and sealing our doom from every corner released from their tomb.Your talent knows no bounds a truly profound piece of writing.
